    Terms of Service

    Last updated: 17 April 2026

These terms set out the basis on which I, Zuzana Fontaine, provide interior design services, Healing Home assessments and workshops. By booking a consultation or engaging me for a project, you agree to the terms below.

    1. Introduction

Zuzana Fontaine Design is an independent interior design studio based in Madrid, Spain, owned and operated by Zuzana Fontaine. References to "I", "me" and "my" mean Zuzana Fontaine Design. References to "you" mean the client booking or using my services.

    2. Services

    I offer:

    • Interior design consultations and full-project design.
    • Healing Home assessments focused on wellbeing and sensory design.
    • Workshops, talks and group sessions.

The exact scope of any project is agreed in writing in a separate proposal or service agreement before work begins.

    3. Bookings & payments

    • A booking is confirmed when a deposit (typically 30–50% of the agreed fee) has been received, unless stated otherwise in your proposal.
    • Remaining fees are invoiced according to the schedule set out in the proposal.
    • Workshop places are confirmed once payment in full has been received.
    • Cancellations made more than 14 days before a scheduled session are refundable minus any non-recoverable costs. Cancellations within 14 days are non-refundable but can be rescheduled once, subject to availability.

    4. Intellectual property

All design concepts, mood boards, drawings, specifications and photographs produced by me remain my intellectual property. On full payment, you receive a licence to use the deliverables for your own home or project. You may not resell, republish or commercially redistribute the work without my written permission.

I may use photographs of completed projects in my portfolio, on this website and on social media, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

    5. Client responsibilities

    • Provide an accurate brief, budget, and access to the property.
    • Respond to questions and approvals in a timely way.
    • Make decisions about purchases, contractors and works within the agreed timeline.

Delays in providing information or feedback may extend the project timeline and, where significant, may incur additional fees.

    6. Third parties & contractors

I may recommend trusted suppliers, makers and contractors. Any contract for goods or building works is between you and the third party. I am not responsible for the quality of products manufactured by suppliers or for works carried out by independent contractors.

    7. Limitation of liability

My liability for any claim arising from the services is limited to the total fees you have paid me for the relevant project. I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by Spanish law.

    8. Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Madrid, Spain.

    9. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your project is the one in force on the day your proposal is signed or your booking is confirmed.
